¡Hola everybody!
We have survived some spurious meals, and can now confirm that our stomachs are compatible with the real Bolivian stuff. Anita is having some problems finding ¨real¨ vegetarian food (mostly due to misunderstandings), and we have finally realized that we are totally lost languagewise. Step number one is to memorize all vegetables in Spanish. Step number two is to give up and point at the food instead. But we are not panicking, we are slowly getting better and could even complement the food at the place we were today (with a sneak peak in the translator).
Sunday is a great day in La Paz. The market of 16th July was full of culture events spanning from games for kids, orchestras in the streets to quite bad rapping auditions and rock bands. Most shops are closed today, but we have found out where we can buy our maps for the journey up north along with petrol for our stove.

hallo ihr lieben,

I remember that I asked Eirik in 1997 before going to Bacelona: Do you want to learn spanish? And he said - no!! But today the answer would have been - yes? :-)
Write more. It's very interesting to get a report from places we probably not will go to.
Learning languages is a matter of motivation. I said the same thing about learning german, and see where that brought me. Eirik.
Hallo Sabrina!
