In an hour we will board a train back to Cuzco which we are looking forward to. Aguas Caliente is truely a rip off town so it is good to get away again. Additional costs we´ve found on our bills so far and which we refused to pay (we´re no beginners anymore) : 5 soles "tax" and 4 soles more than agreed on for the menu in a restaurant, 4 soles extra for "service" in another restaurant, 4 soles for internet in a coffee place with free internet ("only the first half hour internet is free"). At Machu Picchu there was also a luggage storage for 5 soles which we used only to find a free luggage storage after walking 10 meters on through the entrance gate. It is not a huge amount of money but we are used to get two meals for 5 soles.

The positive side is that we found a place that sells immensly good empanadas (filled pastries)!
