Some newly measured items:
- 1 ea sleeping bag: 1732g (can I defend getting a fourth sleeping bag to cut 500g????)
- 1 ea carry mat: 315g
- 1 ea backpack: 3220g
The total weight of my backpack is now 21,46kg with empty fuel bottles, no water, no food and no fun. Can I take that to an elevation of 4000m? Pilots need extra oxygen at an alitute >3600m.
I can skip the following:
- Harmonika: 276g (not worth it)
- Extra warm pullover: 302g (hmmmm.....)
- Water filter: 750g (No point carrying 750g less if you are sick)
- Fishing rod w/equip: 429g (But will then have to carry more food instead)
- 1 ea ducktape: 88g (NEVER go hiking without Ducktape!!!)
I have never been a gram-fanatic, but every gram counts when you have to carry the backpack for 4 months. I have never started the process of packing more than 1 day before departure either.
EXCITING!
